How it works
Find. Call. Book.
Follow through.
Bright Line finds businesses approaching renewal, calls the owners, and books renewal-review meetings on your agency’s calendar.
Find
Every Monday we compare the newest NC Industrial Commission file to last week’s, and check public records for new permits, contract awards and expansions, plus staff growth on public federal retirement-plan filings.
Entering the window - businesses whose renewal just moved into the 90–150 day range
New building permit - a dated public permit naming the business, with its stated value
Contract award - a dated public award to the business, with the amount
Expansion or new location - a dated record of a new or larger site
Staff growth - a public federal retirement-plan filing shows more employees on the plan at year end than at the start
Call
We call the owner 90–150 days before renewal and offer a free 20-minute second look at their workers’ comp with your producer. No obligation to switch. The call only books the meeting; your licensed producer handles the review.
Book
Meetings land on your calendar with a short account brief, including the business, renewal timing, and notes from the booking call.
Follow through
We call back the “not now”s closer to renewal, using the timing noted in the earlier conversation.
A clear role
We book.
Your agency reviews.
- Bright Line is a scheduling and marketing service for independent NC commercial insurance agencies, not an insurance agency or producer.
- One person makes every call. The calls only arrange meetings and follow up on timing, and never discuss coverage, prices, carriers or policy terms.
- Your licensed producer handles the insurance review.
- Public records provide renewal timing, not proof of coverage.
- We work with one agency per region.
- Our research starts with public records; we do not need your agency’s client list.
A “not now” has a next step.
Some owners want to speak closer to renewal. Bright Line keeps that timing with the account and follows through with another call.
Straight answers
Before you start
Where does the account information come from?
Renewal timing comes from a weekly comparison of the public NC Industrial Commission workers’ comp file, which notes its records may lag and are not proof of coverage. Permits, contract awards and expansions come from public records; staff growth comes from public federal retirement-plan filings.
Who makes the calls?
One person makes every Booking call. The calls arrange renewal-review meetings and confirm the time. They never discuss coverage, prices, carriers or policy terms, and do not give insurance advice. Your licensed producer handles the review.
What happens when an owner says “not now”?
We note the timing and call back closer to renewal. An owner who is not ready for a meeting now can be contacted again when the review is nearer.
